Platos Closet stores in Plano, Dallas, Frisco and Valley Ranch/Irving will be open SHORT HOURS on Monday May 28 to allow our employees and customers to observe Memorial Day with family. Stores will be open from 10-6pm and will stop buying clothes at 5pm.

About Selling us clothes:
Everyone asks what we "need". Every day is different, and every store is a little different. We're coming hot weather, and we are stocking up on shorts (especially denim ones), capris, short sleeve shirts and such. We always buy dresses, but we focus on different looks depending on what is selling. Get rid of the jewelry you are not wearing and score some new pieces right here. Bracelets and rings start at $2, and necklaces range from $2 to $10.
What we like to see for guys: shorts, shorts, shorts. We always like denim jeans, especially from the hot teen brands.
What we like to see for gals: accessories, sandals, maxi-dresses, the 80's style loose tops, and of course denim shorts for summer. We are buying all seasons all year but those winter items will need to be very current styles, since they will go into storage for at least 6 months.
Plato's Closet exists to sell clothes that are trendy and in demand. Our customers vote on what is in demand by buying the hot trends and leaving the other pieces to be clearanced. If an item was clearanced excessively over the summer or previous winter, it suggests that it is no longer in demand by our customers and the buyers will will back off on buying that item until we see a new trend emerge. We are happy to explain our buy process to anyone. Just ask!
